How We Work
The MCA Regulatory Board represents the practice of chiropractic in Manitoba. Currently the MCA is a legislated, self-governing body with the dual role of service to the public and the chiropractors of Manitoba.
The MCA’s (and eventually the College’s) primary responsibility is to protect the interest of the public which is achieved through the enforcement of:
- practice directives
- standards of practice
- a code of ethics
- a code of conduct
The Government of Manitoba, through the Chiropractic Act of Manitoba, confers to the MCA (and eventually to the College) the responsibility to license doctors of chiropractic and regulate the practice of chiropractic in Manitoba for the safe and ethical delivery of chiropractic care.
